Here’s a crazy castle I might want to visit.
When most tourists find out about Neuschwanstein, they immediately consider planning a trip to Germany. It’s no wonder consider the Bavarian castle is one of the most popular castles in Europe, located in a picturesque setting in southwest Bavaria, Germany. The castle was built by Ludwig II of Bavaria or Mad King Ludwig as homage to Richard Wagner, the King’s inspiring muse.

Here’s a great way to safely surf the net while traveling.
Using the IronKey is a great way to protect yourself when you’re online away from home. It comes loaded with Firefox and by using it on another computer everything you do online goes through the IronKey with its own encryption. It keeps you from being caught by spyware that may log your keystrokes, potentially getting your password to all kinds of websites, or your banking information.

Here’s an interesting way to travel by container ships. Apparently, it costs more to travel by these ships than by airplanes. (not to mention it take 10 times longer to travel to same destination)
I have always wanted a collection of brown leather trunks with brightly colored stickers from all the world’s corners. They remind me of travelers in the early 1900s who spent days on the ocean in order to reach their destinations. Back then, arriving at the destination was as much a part of the trip as the destination itself.
So when I needed to get from Guadeloupe in the Caribbean to France I asked myself, “is it still possible to travel by boat?” A few months later I was on a CMA-CGM cargo ship headed from Pointe-à-Pitre to Dunkerque.
My nine days on the Atlantic included gourmet French food, duty-free Porto and hours spent mesmerized by the blinking lights of the GPS. Yes, you can definitely still travel to many locations in the world by boat.
Most of the major global shipping lines CMA-CGM, Canada Maritime, and Bank Line offer paying passengers to hop on one of their lines. As a paying passenger you are accommodated in guest cabins and have access to most areas of the ship.

Here’s some great info about houses in Holland that are being designed to “float”.
Rising sea levels? No problem, say architects in Holland. To adapt, they’re re-designing the entire country so that it floats on water. Houses are being built with giant foundations that sit on the bottom of the river, so that if the river level rises to a flooding state, the house floats up with it. The pipes are designed so that they can stay connected to electric and sewer lines even with movement. 20% of the country’s below sea level right now, but it’s only getting worse. City planners near Amsterdam are creating a new suburb with 12,000 houses, 600 of which will be built in water.

Here’s some cool ways you can carry wine with you whereever you travel to.
If your travel take you places known for food and beverage, you’ve probably been tempted to take a few of the goodies home with you. But when your discoveries are wine, olive oil, specialty vinegars, or other liquid items, the decision about packing involves more than a little consideration.
