Road of Death in Bolivia!
0 Comments Published by max July 19th, 2008 in Travel Africa, Travel Info.
I’ve had some weird dreams in my youngster years where I would be driving on a scary, narrow road similar to this road of death in Bolivia.
Of course, this would be one of the places avoid when traveling. Heck, I don’t even have the nerve to travel Africa yet.
The Road of Death, properly known as the North Yungas Road, is the only road connecting several small villages in the Yungas region of Bolivia to the rest of LaPaz and the outside world. In Spanish, the road is known as El Camino de la Muerta (the Road of Death).

U.S. to Allow AIDS/HIV Positive Travelers
0 Comments Published by max July 19th, 2008 in Travel Info.In recent news, U.S. might start allowing AIDS and HIV positive travelers, which has been banned since 1987. I think this is a bad idea as there’s no guarantee that the AIDS/HIV traveler will reveal that he/she has HIV.
What if a 20 year old went to a party and slept with one of those travelers? Now, what if that 20 year old didn’t know he got HIV until 3 years later while he slept with 20 other women. That’d be serious spread of HIV.
Although I do condone with HIV positive people, there’s no guarantee that they will in good faith not sleep with another person.
The US is one of only a dozen countries - including Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Libya and Russia - that ban travel and immigration for HIV-positive people.
America’s travel ban has been in force since 1987.
The provision lifting the ban was part of a bill granting some $50bn in funding for the fight against HIV/Aids throughout the world.
