Here’s some great photos of landmarks in Italy that you might want to consider touring.
clipped from blog.ratestogo.com
Last week, I traveled to Italy for seven days. For three of those days I stayed in the North and visited Venice, Padova and an important spa resort, called Montegrotto Terme. The next three days I was in Rome and stayed in a high class apartment in Rome’s best neighborhood, the quiet and elegant Parioli. However, that’s going to be another story because today I will tell you a few things about Venice.

Because of the high altitudes in Peru, you might want to take some of this advice before you go.
clipped from www.machupicchu-inca.com
I know you are worried about this altitude sickness. You are thinking how far you can go up and how to acclimatize! You will find different people will suggest you differently. Even some people will say, ‘ nothing happened to me, so don’t believe these rumors.’  I remember when I was going to Machu Picchu some body told me not to climb 1000 ft a day to escape altitude sickness. Now Cusco is at an altitude of 11500 ft. I have to be in Cusco to reach Machu Picchu. And as I did not have much time I needed to reach Cusco by plane. If I move up only 1000 ft a day, then I have to wait 11 day before I reach Cusco. Which is not practical. Then there are lot of people who told me nothing happened to them, though they reach Cusco by plane, in few hours. So what to conclude from all these information above! Sorry don’t reach any decision yet. Get some information from below, then plan your journey.

I have a few friends who always supply me with lots of interesting emails everyday, and I really have to thank them for this as these emails are sources of inspiration and motivation to get started working every morning. Without them, I may need a few cups of coffee in the morning instead.

Here’s some new that Amsterdam is banning tobacco use inside coffee shops.
clipped from www.tucsoncitizen.com

AMSTERDAM - Starting next week, you’ll still be able to legally smoke a joint in the famously relaxed coffee shops of Amsterdam - but for a cigarette, you’ll have to step outside.
A tobacco ban that goes into effect Tuesday in the Netherlands has both tourists and shop owners, like, totally confused, man.
“It’s crazy,” says Jon Foster, 36, an American who owns the popular Grey Area coffee shop in the gentrified Jordaan area of central Amsterdam. “It seems totally illogical to have a business that specializes in smoking and you ban tobacco.”
The new law prohibits smoking in bars, cafes, restaurants and clubs to protect people from secondhand tobacco smoke. It is similar to bans that have swept across Europe since Ireland made pubs smoke-free in 2004, as well as restrictions across the U.S.
