Here’s a green hotel in San Francisco if you are eco-conscious.

The Orchard Garden Inn claims to be San Francisco’s “Purely Green Hotel,” and as a one of the only LEED certified hotels in the country, I would say it’s off to a good start. Wanting to support such eco-minded entrepreneurs, I checked out the boutique hotel this weekend.

Here’s some info on Santa Cruz, California.

If you’re looking for nature, head to Henry Cowell Park in Felton; a few miles outside of Santa Cruz, where you can drive in for $6 or park on the street and walk in for free. You will instantly smell the redwoods, the clean air and will feel the temperature drop by multiple degrees as you are under the canopies of the giant redwood trees. You can follow one of the numerous trails… I took the river trail this trip which was as beautiful as I remember.

NH Hotels: Headrests
NH Hotels advertisement was placed on Iberia airlines headrests. On the back of the headrests you could see illustrations enjoying the different activites offered by NH Hotels: golf, beach, sauna, etc. When people sat they would see the illustration in front of them and just above the illustration’s head you could see the hair of the person seating right in front as well, as if it were the illustration’s own set of hair.

Most Walkable U.S. Cities

Here’s 5 of the most walkable U.S. Cities in America.

The only thought that can cross my mind right now is this: imagine the calves on those people. Nine percent of the city by the bay commutes on foot, and with the hills that make their town famous, they may have a tougher trip than anybody… well… maybe not Himalayan Sherpas. Nevertheless, it’s good to know that a city that’s always on the progressive edge of legislation is taking a great deal of individual action, as well.
