Here’s a good piece of advice on the best time to visit Ecuador.
clipped from theecuadorgringo.com

Ecu4
To be honest, there really isn’t a bad time to visit Ecuador, depending on where you want to go and what you want to do. Quito, for example, is spring-like all year round, although its rainy season is from May to September, making it, and the rest of the highlands, more enjoyable from June to August.

Here’s a good list of things to do in San Francisco.

yoshis-steve-tyrell-and-stacey.jpgActually, it was only one night, but Stacey and I packed in all the fun you could possibly imagine in about 30 hours. Saturday morning we drove to the city for an overnight stay at the W San Francisco. It was spectacular - our room had the most glorious beds you’ve ever slept in and a view of the Bay Bridge and Financial District. We had manicures and pedicures at the excellent Bliss Spa. Off in a cab to the new jazz nightclub, Yoshi’s San Francisco to see the dreamy Steve Tyrell. We were in the front row for both the 8 and 10p show, then picked up autographed copies of his new CD.

Cool guide on how to score Airline vouchers.
clipped from www.dumblittleman.com

Airlines like money and it turns out that the best way for airlines to make money is to ensure that there are as few empty seats on a plane as possible.

When a person doesn’t show up for a flight, the seat is left empty and an empty seat is a lost opportunity for revenue. As a result of this conundrum, airlines employ fancy statisticians to figure out how many seats the airline needs to overbook just to make up for the no-shows.

Unfortunately, those statisticians aren’t fortune tellers and sometimes (ok, a lot of times), their figures are off. When the figures are off, it’s still a better deal for the airline to give you a $300 travel voucher than it is to risk letting a seat fly empty.

Official Guide to Iceland

Here’s a cool travel guide to Iceland, the land of unknown.
clipped from www.icetourist.is

Ferðamálaráð

Iceland is not only closer than you think, but far different than you ever imagined. Where else can you witness such marvels of Mother Nature as a tremendous icecap and several glaciers, spouting geysers and steaming solfataras, volcanoes (hopefully dormant), raging rivers and magnificent waterfalls, a multitude of birds, cavorting whales just offshore and many other surprises. Summers are surprisingly warm and winters not as cold as you might expect. Regardless of when you visit, be assured that the warmth shown by Icelanders, their desire to share their culture and the efforts made to make your stay as pleasant as possible will, like the spectacular landscape, never be forgotten. Spoleto Italy

Interesting information on Spoleto, Italy.
clipped from www.bellaumbria.net

Spoleto Umbria
Spoleto, even if shows evident traces of the Roman era even in its urban structure, substantially mantains a medieval appearance, due to the period in which it was first a flourishing longobard Duchy, and then an important city within the Papal State.
