There’s going to be a lot of strange foods when you travel to Asia, nothing like the U.S.
Here’s icecream in a bread roll, looks pretty good to me…

I think one of the first “strange” things I saw when I arrived in Thailand was the street hawker selling ice cream. Nothing strange in that you might say (see picture above). However, it was how they served the ice cream (or “i sa-creem” as the Thai call it or “i-dtim” as the kids call it). You can choose to have your ice cream in a familiar cone or plastic cup, or in a bread roll! At first that was too weird to contemplate. But after tasting it, I soon became addicted. If I ever go back to England, I think I will start the craze of selling ice-cream sandwiches. They are really delicious.

Here’s a typical Chinese Menu you might get in China. Just make sure you learn some Chinese characters before you go…

It was a night like any other - people inviting us out to a steakhouse. We get there, we are seated in a private room. All was well. Niceties aside, we prepare to order. I ask my wife what I should get. She says, “Go ahead and look at the menu - it’s in English.”

1. Hoppy- Now, Hoppy is actually a beer flavored non alcoholic drink. If anyone’s tasted beer, it’s bitter aftertastes can make you feel like throwing up. I don’t know why anyone would want to have a non-alcoholic drink that tastes like beer? I thought ppl drink beer because it’s a cheap source of alcohol. But this drink sorta defies it purpose for me. But I suppose, it’s easier to accept that some peoople just like the taste of beer. The only beer that I can tolerate and actually like is Bud Light. I guess Hoppy is mainly a mixer drink - most commonly with Shōchū (a Japanese distilled alcoholic beverage).

Korean Food!

Here’s some Korean food you might want to try if you go there.
clipped from www.zenkimchi.com

It’s no secret that I think Korea is a playground for those of us who treat eating like an extreme sport–for those of us who agree with Tony Bourdain that our bodies are not temples, they’re amusement parks.

11. The Meat Buffet (Gogi Bupae 고기 부페)

If you’re in town for a short while and want to try as many different Korean foods as possible in one seating–and if you have a strong fortitude and no qualms with health ratings–try the Gogi Buffet.

Here’s some more cool info on Chiang Mai, Thailand. I heard the smog is getting really bad in that area though.
clipped from www.nomadicmatt.com
Chiang MaiChiang Mai is Thailand’s northern version of Bangkok. It’s the second largest city in Thailand and is the gateway to the jungles and cities of the north. Once a quiet little village, the city has morphed in the last ten years into a major business and tourist center. Large amounts of westerners began flocking here for jungle treks and a quite mountain setting but the crowds kept increasing and with it the locals flocking to make money off them. Chiang Mai now has a population of 500,000.

If you had watched The Beach movie starring Leonardo Di Caprio, you will find the same impression when visiting Raja Ampat. The lost paradise deserved to be named for this place because in fact Indonesians personally often didnt know about this place. The beautiful coast, white sand and underwater scenery that were beautiful became the attraction of Raja Ampat.
