Solution to Credit Cards and Debit cards Frozen during Overseas Travel!
0 Comments Published by max August 15th, 2008 in Travel Info.
One of the worst things that can happen during overseas travel is that your credit card company decides that your recent overseas transactions are suspicious so they freeze your account.
You will usually get an automated phone message to your cellphone but what do you do if you are overseas using a temporary cellphone?
Well, the best advice I can give you is to get American Express. They have great service and the card itself is really internationalized whereas VISA and Mastercard aren’t.
Here’s some tips though if you don’t have American Express:
• Inform your bank prior to departure that you are going to be using your credit or debit card abroad
• Leave your mobile number with the bank and ask them to contact you if they have any issues
• Write down the person you spoke to and their position within the bank
• Write down the contact details of the bank and take it with you on holiday
• Don’t rely on just debit or credit cards, take some foreign currency too for emergencies
• Don’t use a bank machine that isn’t attached to a bank, as you’ll never get your card back
• Remember your security details because you will be asked them whilst abroad

Couple Blacklisted from Royal Caribbean Cruises!
0 Comments Published by max August 14th, 2008 in Cruises, Travel Info.
Royal Caribbean has just banned a couple for posting too many negative reviews on a website.
Apart from why they were banned, I should first say that no company should exercise the right to refuse service just because they were bad-mouthed.
I have never been on a cruise and probably never will but this is an outrage.
What a bunch of stuck-up anal VP. He should be fired for doing this, that’s my opinion.
For the mark, forget Royal Caribbean for your future cruises. They care too much about themselves than the people who risk their lives to enjoy them.
“On all but one of those sailings the Morans felt there were a variety of service failures they experienced,” Michael Sheehan, a VP at Royal Caribbean, tells the Associated Press. “In a small number of cases we agreed and compensated them appropriately. In most cases, however, we disagreed. Having concluded that we are unable to meet the expectations of the Morans, we have told them that they would be best served by sailing with another company.”

Angel - World’s Highest Waterfall in Venezuela!

Do you want to see the world’s highest waterfall? Then you must travel to Venezuela to this Angel waterfall.
Set in Canaima National Park, Venezuela, Angel is also one of the most beautiful falls on the planet. It’s a clear 802 meter drop right into the Kerep River flowing at the base of the falls. The water falls from so high an altitude that it’s turned into mist by the powerful winds, before it even reaches the bottom.

Catacombs of Paris

Wow, if you are in Paris, you must check out the Catacombs of Paris, where millions of Parisians are buried. (or on display is it?)
Dating back to Roman times the Catacombs of Paris is one of the most surreal experiences you can take while on a tour of Paris. For as little as $3 euro you can walk the 2 km (1.2 miles) of tunnels that are literally lined with human bones from some six million Parisians. As the Paris population grew in the 1700’s the number of cemeteries didn’t. As disease spread due to improper and cramped burials the police chief decided to condemn all the inner city cemeteries and move the remains discreetly to a renovated section of Paris’ abandoned quarries.
