**COMMUNITY ADVISORY***
Daylight Savings Time (DST) began in the United States on Sunday, March 11, 2007 at 2:00 a.m. Clocks were set ahead one hour on this date, instead of the first Sunday in April. In Mexico, DST begins on April 1, 2007.As a result of the time change difference, Mexicana Airlines has one flight scheduled to depart Oakland International Airport (OAK) at 2:05 a.m. on Monday, March 19 and Monday, March 26.
Each of these Mexicana flights is scheduled to depart Oakland International’s North Field at 2:05 a.m., since the airport performs routine maintenance on its South Field main air carrier runway (Runway 11/29), requiring a closure from 1:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on each Monday.
Airport staff will coordinate with the Federal Aviation Administration to minimize aircraft noise impacts on neighboring communities during both of these air carrier operations.
Aircraft noise concerns may be directed to the airport’s Noise Management Hotline at (510) 563-6463.
