Here’s some good information on how resellers are not paying taxes while we consumers are overpaying.
Re-sellers buy blocks of hotel rooms (airlines seats, tickets, etc.) at a low price and package them for re-sale to us consumers at a higher price. The difference in cost represents their profit. The consumer is charged appropriate taxes based on our purchase price.
The underlying issue (behind all the procedural wrangling) has to do with a common re-selling practice. In this case, a number of online travel firms, including some of the giants in the online travel industry, have adopted a practice on remitting hotel occupancy taxes that is at odds with how the city of Atlanta believes taxes should be charged and remitted.
The travel companies have been remitting taxes based on the price the company paid, not the price charged and paid by the consumer, claiming that the difference is a service fee/charge and NOT taxes.

Here’s an interesting affordable design hotel chain in Amsterdam. If you are short on money but you want the best, this might be a good go.
Aiming to bring affordable luxury to modern travellers, a new hotel brand just opened its doors at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport. citizenM (the M is for mobile) is targeting guests who view design as a given, need rooms that are comfortable and efficient, but can’t or don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars, euros or pounds for a night’s sleep. The hotel was founded by Rattan Chadha—who created fashion label Mexx and is also involved with Asian hotel group Oberoi—and designed by acclaimed Dutch architectural firm Concrete.

Next time you get a chance, you should get some rests on the floating whale hotel shaped like a beluga, a white whale.
Next time you saw a beluga floating in the air, don’t doubt your eyes, it is real! NO, I don’t mean it’s a real beluga, but a real thing shaped in beluga.
This is actually a helium filled craft which function as a hotel. It comes with 60 hotel rooms and a 500 square meters meeting center. This beluga could cruise at 173mph which allows it to travel the globe on non-stop 3 day journeys.
