Here’s a really cool hotel in Miami, Florida you might want to consider staying at next time you are in Miami.
| From devising the fabulously opulent Studio 54 nightclub, Ian Schrager created a hotel on Madison Avenue, New York City, that was so original and so unique in both it’s design and approach to it’s visitors that it gave birth to the term ’boutique’ hotel and revolutionised the business for good. That was 1984 and this is now, Schrager has left the corporation he started with (and named after) that hotel, the Morgans Group, an International chain of designer hotels that includes the London design icon the Sanderson and he’s now working on something exciting with Marriott hotels. Some would think that the lack of his guru like presence would signal the end for the Morgans Group, however, thanks to über-designer Marcel Wanders, the Mondrian South Beach Hotel in Miami looks set to blow the door off the hotel game once more. |

Here’s a good review of the JW Marriott Hotel in South Korea.
| In 2007 I stayed at the JW Marriott Seoul for one night during a layover between Singapore and San Francisco. I had one frustrating experience but otherwise the stay was excellent. |
