Many of us immediately recall memories of mountains and hillside when we look back upon family vacations and scenic landscape. We sometimes forget, however, the incredible impact that nature has had on the planet over time. The natural erosion of the earth, caused by winds and harsh weathers, has resulted in the creation of some of the most incredible rock formations on the globe.

Taking the time out from 9 to 5 life is very important. Even more important is to chose a place where you can escape from it all. Never choose a holiday location bustling with other tourists. It is counter productive. Holiday is a time to re-connect with yourself. It is a time to re-discover one self. You may find below some pictures of a destination in Kandy, SiriLanka. I am not sure about the place but I hope I will be doing some research before flying out to this heaven on earth. A two week holiday here would really make a lot of difference, I suppose.

The City of Petra was hidden in the mountains of Jordan for thousands of years when a young Swiss explorer Johan Ludwig Burckhardt rediscovered it in 1812.Temples, tombs, monasteries and other buildings are all carved out of the sandstone cliffs, which also gives it the name the “rose red city.” UNESCO has described it as “one of the most precious cultural properties of man’s cultural heritage.”

Amazing China Photos

Here’s proof that China isn’t the worst place in the world to take photographs, not that I am going anytime soon.
clipped from www.nature-blog.com

I have to admit, I did not expect China to be so visually stunning… Many imagine harsh mountains, endless plains and a glut of industry (and there’s plenty of that), but in actual truth China can be a photographer’s paradise, all the same.

Lake Bled in Slovenia!

Lake Bled in Slovenia is splendid indeed.  Next time you are headed out that area, I suggest you to pay the site a visit.

Lake Bled is one of Slovenia’s most popular tourist area, next to the town of Bled. The lake was formed when the Bohinj glacier receded. It is 2120 m long, 1380 m wide and up to 30.6 m deep. Nowhere in the world is there a more lovely place, than this paradise and its surroundings. The island in the middle of Lake Bled is without doubt one of the premier attractions of the area, which surprises and charms every visitor. Surrounded by mountains and forests, today Bled is a modern holiday resort with many hotels, private accommodation facilities, a camp site, wellness centers, and a golf course.

Festivals in Peru!

One of my best friends told me some great stories about Peru and the food there.

Here’s some great information on the festivals held in Peru.

There are about 3,000 festivals celebrated each year in Peru. Most of them celebrate the day of saint patron. The festivities mix both the Christians and Andean religions, creating a very colorful and mysterious event. Especially in the traditional villages in the mountains there are several traditional celebrations related to ancient myths.
